Tonight (May 24th) was the Education Foundations, "Excellence in Education Celebration" for the 8th grade students from the three middle schools that will be going to the same High School next year. From each of the three schools, they picked the top students based on their GPS (grade point average). In Sarah’s school, she was in the top 15 out of 300 eighth grade students because of her high GPA. The celebration was held at the high school and there was about 45 students from the three middle schools and all the parents, so I think about 250 people total. Also, there were the teachers who each student picked who was the most influential to them in their 8 years of school. I was just so very proud of Sarah to watch her stand on the stage and be presented with a nice award and to stand there with the teacher that really made a difference to Sarah. Then to listen to what was being said about Sarah and what Sarah wrote about that teacher.

Sarah has made me proud so many times in her 14 years and tonight was among my most proud moment to be her dad.

This is Sarah’s 8^th grade picture. She will graduate from 8^th grade this year and will start high school next year. She is very excited about that. I wonder where the time has gone! Haha.
